The KalpraTM Cork Yoga Mat is made from fully biodegradable materials, but with comfort, health and performance in mind.
A natural cork upper layer provides a stable, yet soft support with enhanced grip to help you deeply connect with your practice. Cork is also the healthier choice over traditional mat materials being bacteria and allergy proof, and odour-free.
Our premium cork layer sits atop a base of extra thick, natural tree rubber which cushions the support - making our mat knee and joint friendly, the natural way.
KalpraTM Mats and Yoga are simply a match made in heaven!
Never fold or crease your mat. Instead, roll it up loosely for transport and storage.
Over time light cracking may occur on the raw cork surface. This is strictly visual and does not affect the function or properties of the mat.
Cleaning the cork surface of the mat is recommended after every heavy session, or once a week with normal practice. Use lemon and water to clean the surface and leave allow to air dry with the mat laying out flat.
Spraying water on the cork surface will increase grip and can be useful for a practice that requires additional traction.

KalpraTM Cork Yoga Mats are made 100% from natural materials and are fully biodegradable.
The harvesting of cork is also a sustainable practice. Every nine years, cork can be harvested from a cork tree by stripping off its outer bark. This process is not harmful for the tree, but rather healthy as it allows the tree to shed off its old bark and replace it with new, healthier cork. Portugal is regarded as regarded as one of the world’s main and most sustainable sources of premium quality cork.
There is no doubt that KalpraTM cork yoga mats are better for our environment.

The extra thick cork surface promotes a healthy and clean environment by preventing the growth and colonisation of organisms – eliminating bacteria and germs, and the build-up of nasty odours. Our Cork Yoga Mat will also prevents the absorption of dust, making it the ideal choice for people who suffer from allergies or asthma.
We have also chosen an extra thick cork surface and coupled this with an extra thick rubber base, to ensure the mat is not only sturdy, but appropriately cushion to softly support your knees and other joints during your practice.
Our Cork Yoga Mat has a smooth and natural texture that is surprisingly grippy. The “grippiness” of the cork surface actually increases when the mat gets wet, such as with sweat. This unique and natural property eliminates the need to carry a towel with you to support you during those hot yoga sessions.
It really is the perfect companion for connecting you with your practice.
